PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The City of Union Gap Department of Public Works and Community Development has received a Class 3 application and Environmental Checklist from Brandon Tatro, PNW CDL Training School. The applicant is proposing a commercial truck driving license training school on an approximately 3.99-acre site. The site contains an existing manufactured home and other buildings. The applicant proposes no new structures.
In addition, the site is in the City of Union Gap Airport Overlay (Union Gap Municipal Code (UGMC) Chapter 17.20). The City UGMC 17.20.040H requires a proposed use allowed in the underlying zone (L-I) but not allowed in the Airport Overlay is approved by the Hearing Examiner and the application for a Type III review.
Location: The site is located at 2019 S 12th Ave, Union Gap Washington 98903. The general narrative description is Parcel 3 Book 81-01011984 Hearthside 28x66Serial # 28300, in Section 38, Township 13, Range 18.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW:
The City of Union Gap has reviewed the proposed project for probable adverse environmental impacts and issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) for this project on November 24, 2020.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: On Tuesday, December 15, 2020 commencing at 2:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, the Union Gap Hearing Examiner will conduct an open record public hearing to consider the above application. The hearing will be conducted via GOTOMeeting.
