The Transit Division was newly created in 2008 and is fully funded through a 0.2 % sales tax.  Funding supports free passenger fares<\/span><\/strong> for both fixed route and Para-transit services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Division’s purpose is to administer the Union Gap Transit contract and to provide essential management and support services to the division through oversight, coordination and technical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current contract is with Medstar Transportation <\/em>providing a full array of public transit services; including those who are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Para transit eligible within the City boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes from 3:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and then from 10:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transit Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On June 30, 2014 Union Gap Transit got a lift as it assumed operations with Medstar Transportation; a local company that has provided transportation services throughout Washington State since 1984.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The buses have been upgraded and redesigned but still provide the same safe and free transit services.  Medstar Transportation provides all transit services for the community of Union Gap, Washington including fixed route and Dial-A-Ride para-transit ADA services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
