NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: On Tuesday, August 27, 2019 commencing at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, the Union Gap Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at the Union Gap Civic Center, 102 W. Ahtanum Rd, Union Gap, WA 98903. The purpose of the hearing is to consider an amendment to the Union Comprehensive Plan future land use map to change the future land use designation of the following described property from “Public” to “Commercial”. The hearing is also to consider changing the zoning of the property from “Public Building District (PBD)” to “Regional Commercial (C-2)”. The parcel is general described as follows: Parcel number 19133242014. The West 150 feet of the North 150 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 32, Township 13, Range 19, at the Northeast corner of the intersection of South 18th Street and Rainer Place. The Planning Commission may recommend approve, approve with conditions, or deny the proposed changes to the Union Gap City Council. All persons wishing to comment are encouraged to attend. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: This is to notify the public and all private agencies with jurisdiction and environmental expertise that the City of Union Gap Public Works and Community Development Department has been established as the lead agency, pursuant to the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) WAC 197.11.926 for the above stated updates to the Union Gap Comprehensive Plan and text changes to the Union Gap Municipal Code. A Determination of Non-Significances was made on June 26, 2019. COMMENTS: Agencies, tribes and the public are encouraged to review and comment on the proposal at the public hearing.
