City of Union Gap Utility Billing COVID-19 Update

In accordance with the final extension of Proclamation 20-23, pertaining to Utility Ratepayer Assistance and Preservation of Essential Services, the Governor’s moratorium on late fees, interest, and shut-offs expired September 30, 2021.  Therefore the City of Union Gap will proceed with its normal pre-COVID collection and disconnection procedures, effective January 1, 2022.  Should your water service be disconnected, payment of the total account balance plus a $40 turn-off fee will be charged to resume service.  Should your sewer and garbage service become past-due, a utility lien can be placed upon the property for unpaid bills.  The City of Union Gap is committed to keeping our customers connected to essential services, therefore to avoid collection activity and ensure continued service, we urge you to pay your past-due balance now.
